Romy Schneider, nome artístico de Rosemarie Magdalena Albach (Viena, 23 de setembro de 1938 — Paris, 29 de maio de 1982), foi uma atriz franco-alemã.

Schneider começou sua carreira de atriz aos 15 anos de idade. Ao lado de sua mãe, Magsa Schneider, atuou nos filmes do gênero Heimatfilm sendo, “Quando voltam a florescer os lilases” (1953) e “O Imperador e a Padeira” (1955) exemplos. Entre 1955 e 1957, interpretou a imperatriz Isabel da Áustria, "Sissi", em três filmes - Sissi (1955), Sissi: A Imperatriz (1956) e Sissi e Seu Desejo (1957) - com os quais obteve sucesso e reconhecimento internacional.

Em busca de papéis mais desafiadores, se deslocou até Paris em 1958, onde ocorreu a sua estreia no teatro, na tragédia de John Ford, 'Tis Pity She's a Whore. In 1991, he became a member of France's Legion of Honour. At the 45th Berlin International Film Festival, he won the Honorary Golden Bear. At the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, he received the Honorary Palme d'Or.

In addition to his acting career, Delon also recorded the spoken part in the popular 1973 song "Paroles, paroles", a duet with Dalida as the main singing voice. He acquired Swiss citizenship in 1999.
